It is a beautiful site created at about 400 hectares of area and is located exactly at the edge of Vancouver's downtown core. This amazing evergreen haven is rich with fir trees, hemlock and amazing cedar. There is also an 8.8KM seawall that tends to surround the perimeter of the Stanley Park most beautifully and certainly can be used well for biking, jogging, rollerblading and much of the leisure activities. Later in 1886 when a committee was formed to oversee all parks and recreational matters it was then that Stanley Park was born and named after the then governor Lord Stanley.
